Wham was a British pop duo formed in 1981, consisting of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley. George Michael was the lead vocalist and songwriter, while Andrew Ridgeley played guitar and provided backing vocals. The duo was highly successful in the 1980s, with hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Careless Whisper," and "Last Christmas."
George Michael went on to have a successful solo career after Wham disbanded in 1986, while Andrew Ridgeley pursued other interests outside of music. Unfortunately, George Michael passed away in 2016, but his music continues to be celebrated and loved by fans around the world. Andrew Ridgeley has remained largely out of the public eye since the end of Wham, but his contributions to the duo's success are not forgotten.
